Guide to Soaking

·   Move about quietly and be sensitive to others
·   Find yourself a space and make yourself comfortable

Soaking Prayer

Soaking is intimate time spent with Christ.  It's you and I enjoying just being with Him.  It's about returning to our first love.  There's a deep need in every one of us to be close to God/Goddess.  Experiencing God is something to be sought after.  While we base our theology on God's Word, our experiences with God make it all come alive. The Bible is a book of experiences of men and women of God throughout history, whose lives were changed through divine encounter.  Your life will be changed as you encounter Him.

How do you `Soak'?

Definitions:

Soak

to become thoroughly wet or saturated by immersion, to drink excessively, to take in, to soak up.

Quiet

to be untroubled, free from activities, distractions, still. calm.

Listen

to concentrate on hearing something take heed, pay attention.

Lie down

to place oneself or be in a prostrate position in order to rest. To accept without protest or opposition.

Rest

to relax from exertion or labor. repose, sleep, a pause or interval.

Wait

to stay in one place or remain inactive in expectation of something.

Isaiah 5,5:1-3 Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.  Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?

Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live.

Hebrew 4:9-11  There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest.
