PLUTO IN CAPRICORN
This month the Full Moon is a special one, producing a total lunar
eclipse at 13 degrees of Virgo. It will be exact at 6:17 PM EST, 5:17 PM
CST, 4:17 PM MST and 3:17 PM PST. It will be visible only on the eastern
US coast at the end of its duration. Europe and western Asia will see it
through its entirety. Check your local papers or media services.
An eclipse is a time of the loss of light. As the Moon has been
building for the last two weeks, growing brighter and stronger with each
passing night, there has been the anticipation of promise and efforts
rewarded. But now, the electric-magnetic pulse of the planet drops, and
the animals of the forests know it. It most affects the area over where
the shadow is actually seen, but if you have natal planets at 13 Virgo
or Pisces, you should pay attention. This one has your name on it.
With an eclipse, the fabric of time also drops, and we can, for a
while, reconnect with experiences, people, places or memories from out
of the past. This Full Moon conjuncts the Dragon's tail, and many of the
old, discarded experiences which go along with it. Some of these images
may return with the borrowed lumination (or lack of it) from the Moon.

Coxa is Latin for "hip".
This star Coxa
along with the star delta (Zosma)
on the hind quarter were Al Kihil al Asad, the "Space between the
Shoulders" of the Lion,
Leo.
The "Two Little Ribs", or the" two Khurt", or "Holes", penetrating into
the interior of the Lion.
On the Euphrates
they were Kakkab Kua, the constellation of the god Kua, the
"Oracle".
In Egypt,
Mes-su, the "Heart of Su":
In
Sogdiana they were "Wadha, the Wise":
In
Khorasmia, Armagh, the "Great".
The Arabic
name for Coxa or Chort is Al-Kharat, "The rib".
They were
the Arabic 9th manzil Al Zubrah "The Mane" (though nowhere
near the mane of the Lion we know now; Arabs had a much larger lion
figure for Leo) [Influences of 9th mansion: Good for voyages, gain by
merchandise, redemption of captives (Robson)].
This star
theta (Coxa) shares with delta (Zosma)
the title Al H'aratan. Al Biruni wrote that "when they rise
Suhail is seen in Al Izak," - wherever this may be. The Century
Cyclopedia gives Chort as the individual name, from the
combined title.
In India
they marked the 9th nakshatra, Purva Phalguni, delta being
the junction star between the two Phalguni asterisms.
These
stars are said to give the ability to prophesy [perhaps relating to the
symbolism of the book-carrying lion in his prophetic role]. (Allen).
General
influence of the star:
Ability to prophesy. On the Euphrates this star along with Zosma, was
the god Kua, the Oracle. (Noonan).

This Full Moon chart is electric, eccentric, explosive and dynamic.
Stirring the deeper soul of the psyche, the emotional flood of Pisces is
getting ready to make itself known. The spotlight is illuminating sides
which are normally hidden, and the veil is suddenly being ripped off.
This Full Moon chart is similar to the one that triggered the Kobe
earthquake, except Neptune is not involved.

Deep seated beliefs are coming to the forefront, being challenged,
defended, exonerated, and otherwise probed into focus. Those with
stylistic differences, in fact, those closest to us nit-pick us into
non-existence, attempting to prove we aren't worthy of being. The Sun is
in Pisces, and Pisces is, at heart, dualistic. That is why the two fish.
The two fish do not remember that they are one fish, whether black and
white, Arab and Israeli, Irish and North Irish, east and west, north and
south, divided, divided against ourselves. Roman Catholic and Greek
Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant, us and them, always. Pisces often
manifests as how DIFFERENT the two are, ultimately over trivial
differences. Angels on the head of a pin, sort of thing. At the Full
Moon, the emotional gulf, how we feel about the whole situation, is most
magnified, often beyond reason. Reason is not the guiding principle
here. Emotion is.
This can be religious in nature, but it can also simply be the roots
of our day to day life. What foundations are they built on? How is all
of that changing?
The Full Moon flushes to the surface. Since the Sun is in the water
sign Pisces, there's a lot to flush; stuff we don't ordinarily want to
deal with. Some people react to the light and go scurrying for the
shadows, getting lost in the darkness, while others bob to the surface
and make the choices needed. This is a good time to look into area left
undone, that still need attention, into which we store things which are
often of little service to us anymore.
Since Saturn is just coming off the opposition to Neptune (still
less than half a degree), we continue to take a long hard look at what's
we've been struggling with. This whole issue, with the Pisces Full Moon
and the Saturn opposition to Neptune, is that we are being tested on
faith. Do we believe in a process whose answer we can not yet clearly
determine? Saturn will again oppose Neptune on June 25th. We are
currently under the second stage of testing, the third stage of which is
June 25th. We have already gone through the first, at the end of last
summer. The first pass was exact on August 31st. Second February 28,
third June 25th.
The down side to Saturn opposing Neptune is that we feel like a
drag, our expectations aren't being met, other people are the source for
our malaise, or that we don't have enough. The scales are wanting. Mist
is on the mountain. Our place of vision is obscured.
The up side to the Saturn Neptune opposition is that we are
giving birth to a deep seated ideal; something that really means
something to us deep inside. Since Saturn is involved, this could be
around our business or career, or with the elderly. While the opposition
has been occurring, we have been working to put that model into place.
People around you may question its validity. Ultimately, the test is
yours, not theirs. They are just doing their job, asking the obvious
question. The real question is, what is your answer to these doubts. Do
you decide you will, or do you decide you won't; without knowing if the
whole issue will be a success? You may be working with the elderly, or
you may be working against time. Look at your life. What were you
working on at the end of last summer? What have you been working on now
that plays into that? This is your mid-semester test.
Some of the good news is, that, if you're willing to change, there
are actually some real opportunities out there. Venus is getting ready
to ignite a Grand Fire Trine at 18 and 19 degrees (Aries, Leo and
Sagittarius) on March 8th and 9th. If you have any natal planets at any
of these degrees, there's a real doorway open here; of a trip to be
traveled, a new spiritual discipline studied, some wisdom gleaned, but
through it all, by ACTION taken. Get the word out through advertising or
the media. Make contact with people at distance in an effort to gather
info together so as to make decisions. Schooling, education, sports, and
a vast array of media fields can open up with new horizons touched, but
it all takes leadership. You have to get up, get off your butt, and do
something with this, preferably by working on something you've already
been at for some time (Saturn). What needs another good push to get it
up and rolling? This will be the general tide at the time, but
especially if you have natal planets at the above mentioned degrees.
Just as, if you have any planets at 13 degrees of Virgo or Pisces (our
Full Moon), you are likewise having your heavenly chimes rung.
Maybe it's time to answer the door.
With the Full Moon, some major new elements may be shoved in place,
where we come to realize what must change. Conjuncting Uranus AND as an
eclipse we have a potentially explosive brew, wherein the fabric may be
torn. This could be a flood of information to natural events. As we
build into the 8th and 9th of March, it's time to move the whole plan
forward. Pieces have fallen into place. People are happier and more
upbeat. Challenges seem more do-able, goals taken in stride. And there
is a confidence that can help to move it forward, so make use of it. The
danger with any Jupiter aspect is that we can get too much of a good
thing, but in a trine to Saturn (elements of the Grand Fire Trine), if
anything can temper it, this will.
Increasingly, my focus has been being called to Pluto's entry into
Capricorn. History will reveal what political themes were being played
out the last time Pluto journeyed through this sign, but one can
anticipate that corporate control and takeover will emerge; but only
after considerable in-fighting. Governments will become more
dictatorial, with increased threats perceived on several fronts. Pluto
will enters Capricorn in 2008, will stay there until 2024 when it exits
to Aquarius. That's sixteen years of learning about a new celestial
trend.
There are many variations for the 'correct' chart of the United
States of America. Most, not all, agree on the 4th of July, 1776. For
any of these charts, the US Pluto is in late Capricorn, at 27 and a half
degrees. As Pluto moves through Capricorn, it is first going to oppose
all of our natal planets in Cancer, square our Saturn in Libra, and
finally conjunct the US Pluto no matter which chart you use.
There are two ways we can examine what it will mean to have Pluto in
Capricorn, and specifically, what it means for this country to have
Pluto in Capricron. The first of these two ways is to simply go back
into history and watch what happened when the 'pulse' of Pluto was
triggered. We can find out when it was triggered, see what happened, and
better understand what the nature of Pluto is all about.
The second of these two ways is to go forward in time, establish just
when Pluto will be triggered again in the US chart, and watch what
happens as these predicted dates come and go.

We have a piece of the puzzle from the historical side. Pluto is
power, money, and control. As the ruler of Scorpio, it is often very
secretive. It doesn't like telling you what's happening. Time can often
help to uncover what was hidden, but not always. Pluto likes to destroy
evidence. Pluto likes to destroy a lot of things.
But just to take a quick look, in the summer of 1834, the US
progressed Ascendant conjuncted the US natal Pluto. In May of 1831, Mars
had opposed the natal Pluto. What was happening in the early 1830s?
"By the early 1830s, President
Andrew Jackson had come to
thoroughly dislike the Second Bank of the United States because of its
fraud and corruption. Although its charter was bound to run out in 1836,
Jackson wanted to "kill" the Second Bank of the United States even
earlier. In some circles, Jackson is considered primarily responsible
for its demise. Jackson promoted the growth of farmland, while the
national bank denied this growth."
"The Second Bank of the United
States thrived from the tax revenue that the federal government
regularly deposited."
From Jackson's speech on July 10th, 1832:
"The present corporate body,
denominated the president, directors, and company of the Bank of the
United States, will have existed at the time this act is intended to
take effect twenty years. It enjoys an exclusive privilege of banking
under the authority of the General Government, a monopoly of its favor
and support, and, as a necessary consequence, almost a monopoly of the
foreign and domestic exchange. The powers, privileges, and favors
bestowed upon it in the original charter, by increasing the value of the
stock far above its par value, operated as a gratuity of many millions
to the stockholders."
"An apology may be found for
the failure to guard against this result in the consideration that the
effect of the original act of incorporation could not be certainly
foreseen at the time of its passage. The act before me proposes another
gratuity to the holders of the same stock, and in many cases to the same
men, of at least seven millions more... It is not our own citizens only
who are to receive the bounty of our Government. More than eight
millions of the stock of this bank are held by foreigners. By this act
the American Republic proposes virtually to make them a present of some
millions of dollars. For these gratuities to foreigners and to some of
our own opulent citizens the act secures no equivalent whatever. They
are the certain gains of the present stockholders under the operation of
this act, after making full allowance for the payment of the bonus."
"Every monopoly and all exclusive privileges are granted at the
expense of the public, which ought to receive a fair equivalent. The
many millions which this act proposes to bestow on the stockholders of
the existing bank must come directly or indirectly out of the earnings
of the American people. It is due to them, therefore, if their
Government sell monopolies and exclusive privileges, that they should at
least exact for them as much as they are worth in open market."
Because we are looking at the progressed Ascendant conjuncting our
natal Pluto, we are putting the 'face' on the issue. The Ascendant in a
natal chart provides what you look like. The US Pluto lies natally in
the 2nd house, the house of our finances. The reasons for Jackson's
opposition to a central bank, was not its benefits, which he freely
acknowledges in the first sentence of his second paragraph:
A bank of the United States is
in many respects convenient for the Government and useful to the
people.
But rather the drawbacks, which Jackson does well enough explaining.
Too many profits going to the wrong people, with too much control by
this one monopoly.
What did you think Pluto in Capricorn would be?
Jackson was able to pull the plug on a central bank, and lived to
tell about it.
If indeed, this path continues to provide clues from history, then we
can watch in anticipation, and with perhaps a better understanding, of
the process that is getting ready to take place in our national future.

We are being strongly called to
ACT on what we KNOW and not what

impeccability is getting hard to
do when we feel like screaming.

PISCES SOLAR ECLIPSE/NEW MOON
- MARCH 18-19
This is the last of seven new
moons in a row to occur in the
last degrees of the sign.
Beginning with the solar eclipse
at 29 degrees Virgo September
22, 2006, this extraordinary
series of new moons competes
with the solar eclipse at 28
degrees Pisces March 18th.
The last degrees of a sign
invite us to integrate the
highest expression of that sign
before moving on. We are
reminded of how learning the
lessons of one zodiac energy
sets the stage for a more
conscious unfoldment of the next
set of zodiac lessons.
Occurring two days before the
spring equinox, the Pisces new
moon signals a new beginning and
a new way of life. A solar
eclipse serves to expose and
interrupt old programming and
ways of thinking. With our
limited ego tempered for a day,
we are able to see how fear,
judgment, resentments and the
need to control prevent us from
experiencing divinity in the
world, each other and ourselves.
We are invited to let go of
